Chivalry is shown in one’s deeds and works that exemplify the glory of the divine essence that lives and moves within them. It is ensuring that their deeds and works show honor to their families through the generations.
Their highly moral and generous spirit, greatness of mind, heart and soul always acts for noble purposes. Their actions are taken for the highest good of all, and show respect for all creation following the Creators rules that they live by. The chivalrous individual is unceasing in their striving for that which is right, that which they know is true. They value truthful speech and honest deeds. They have the inner strength and conviction to keep to their principles and adhere to them in order to further their own evolution and spiritual growth.
They are steadfast in whatever they endeavor to accomplish and do not give up even when the task at hand is enormous and challenging. They persevere and continue in their efforts until they achieve results towards success. Through their personal strength of character and determination, they achieve victory over adversity and foster the development of their works and commitments.
They show fidelity and loyalty to self, their family, friends and community in their commitment to making the world a better place. Chivalry in an individual shows a firmness of mind and spirit in the daily challenges of life. They exemplify a habitual and firm disposition to do that which is good. Their integrity is exemplified by living their life by their highest values.
Chivalry entails that one leads by example and has the self discipline to be hard on themselves first while they assist with the development of others so that greater purpose for the highest good of all may be achieved. They have the discipline that keeps them true to their principles and qualities which allows them to master their resolve and focus on excellence.
They are willing to share what they have with their fellows in order to establish and affirm the bonds of friendship. They pay careful attention to what others like and do not like, and do the things that give them happiness. They are dependable, ready and willing to lend their help and assistance wherever they can, whenever it is needed.
They work hard and take pride in their work and is someone that gets things done. They reach for high goals and strive for harmony in all areas of their life. They work towards a greater evolution in self and spirit in all areas of their being. Chivalry demands that one is self reliant and does not wait for someone else to do one’s job for them or expect anything to be handed to them on a platter.
A chivalrous individual has a spirit of independence. They are always taking care of self and loved ones first, then they take care of their friends, neighbors and community members. Their self reliance is their key to freedom which is the essence of their joyous life. They are never satisfied to let others do what is rightfully their own work to do or to let others do their thinking for them.
They take full responsibility for all their choices and do not give their power away to others. They have the ability and flexibility to work together with others and share the load by joining with them to do things that cannot be done alone. They are willing to follow the rules which keep everyone safe and happy.
They understand that through cooperation with others, great things can be accomplished. They use the knowledge and wisdom of the past to create a better life in the present. Chivalry means learning to live with the reality of ones self, using ones strengths and accepting their weaknesses, at the same time attempting to use them as strengths by working with them and not against them.
Chivalry in an individual is recognized as the willingness to freely go beyond the call of duty, make personal sacrifices and act on one’s convictions. One acquires a loftiness of purpose, humility and a moral heroism as every trial is endured and weathered in the right spirit. This makes their eternal soul nobler and stronger than it was before. Their life is a quest for achieving supreme good and the perfection of their spiritual being.
They aspire to something higher than themselves and their own personal comfort which brings movement and meaning to their human life. They strive for excellence by doing their best and giving careful attention to every task and every relationship. They have a strong desire for spiritual perfection and their every effort is guided by a noble purpose. Chivalry is a path of integrity and honor towards all people and all things and most especially, in honoring the divine within them.
May your noble and divine origin uplift and inspire your acts of chivalry in your everyday world.
